Reports and sharing
What the printable report contains, printing it to paper or PDF, sharing a summary by email or message, the Download option, and the free report limit.
Updated
By the end of this page you have a printable record of the workspace, a PDF of it, and a one-line summary you can send to someone.
Opening the report
Press Report in the workspace toolbar, or View report in the bar under the item list. The report page has Back, a Share menu and a Print button above the report itself.
What the report contains
- Header. “Report”, the site name, and the date and time you opened it.
- Summary. The number of items, the total weight in grams, and the total price. When a Pro price multiplier is applied and “Show the multiplier in reports” is on, a Price Multiplier line says so.
- Jewelry items. One line per item: its number, weight, name and description, the alloy and its price per gram, and the value. Items with stones list each stone with its type, weight, cut, clarity and colour.
- Coins. One line per coin with the alloy, the grade and grading service, the melt and numismatic values, and the value used.
The values are the ones in the workspace when you open the page. If the panel head says Needs recalculation, go back and press Calculate updated values first, so the report shows current prices. Why the number moves explains the timing.
Printing, and saving a PDF
Press Print. Your browser’s print dialog opens with only the report on the page; the site’s header, footer and buttons are left out. Choose a printer, or choose Save as PDF as the destination to keep a file. On a phone the dialog is the system share and print sheet; iOS offers PDF through the preview’s share button.
Sharing a summary
- Share via email opens your mail app with a new message: the number of items, the total weight, the total price, the multiplier when it applies, and a link to the report page. Add the recipient and send. The link opens the report in the recipient’s own browser, which has its own workspace, so the numbers travel in the message text, not through the link.
- Share via message opens the device’s share sheet on a phone or a browser that has one, so you can send the same summary by text or chat. Where there is no share sheet, the summary is copied to the clipboard instead and a message says so; paste it wherever you like.
- Download report on the report page opens the print dialog, the same as Print: choose Save as PDF to download. From the workspace toolbar, the same entry opens a print-ready copy of the report in a new window and starts printing it.
The free report limit
The free report covers a workspace of up to 10 items. With more items than that, the report page shows Unlock the full report instead of the report, and the Share and Print controls are hidden. Your items stay exactly as they are; only the report is locked.
The report pass
A full report pass is for one valuation, however big: a single payment that lifts the item limit and unlocks the full report on your account for 30 days. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. It needs a free account, so the purchase can follow you, and it does not include the AI assistant. Press Unlock for 30 days, pay through Stripe, and you come back to the report page: “Payment received” while the pass activates, then the report. If you back out of checkout, “Checkout cancelled” confirms you have not been charged.
The other way is WITVT Pro, which lifts the limit for as long as you subscribe. Account, billing and the report pass compares the two.
An empty report
With no items in the workspace the page says “There’s nothing to report yet” and offers a button back to the workspace.
