Account, billing and the report pass
Signing in, what a free account gives you, upgrading to Pro, the billing portal, the one-time report pass, cancelling, and what is stored on your account.
Updated
By the end of this page you know what an account is for, how to upgrade and pay, how to change or cancel a plan, and the difference between Pro and the one-time report pass.
Signing in
Press Sign in in the header. Sign-in is handled by Auth0: use a Google account or another provider offered on the sign-in page, or an email address and password. The first sign-in creates your WITVT account; nothing else is needed. Afterwards your avatar in the header opens a menu with Account & billing, Settings, Gem value matrices, Help & tour and Sign out.
Signing in does not move your workspace: it stays in the browser you built it in. See Where the workspace is saved.
What a free account gives you
- The calculator, the workspace (up to 10 items) and the report, which are free without an account too.
- One diamond value matrix, stored on the account and used by every calculation you run while signed in.
- The ability to buy a report pass or subscribe to Pro, both of which are tied to the account.
- A User settings page with your profile details and an email notifications switch.
Upgrading to Pro
Pricing compares the plans and lists what Pro adds: the AI assistant, an unlimited workspace, unlimited diamond value matrices, and the price multiplier and purity hedging. To subscribe, open Account & billing, choose Monthly or Annual (the annual price works out cheaper per month and the card says by how much), and press Subscribe. Checkout opens on Stripe; WITVT never sees your card. When you return, the page says your plan is active, the Pro features unlock, and the workspace reprices with your saved pricing settings if you had any.
Prices are shown before tax where tax applies; the checkout page shows the final amount. There is no trial: the calculator, the report and a preview of the assistant are free, so you can judge the product before paying.
The billing portal
As a subscriber the account page shows your plan, the billing interval and the renewal date, with a Manage Billing button that opens Stripe’s billing portal. There you can switch between monthly and annual (the difference is invoiced straight away), update the card and billing address, see and download invoices, and cancel. The portal returns you to the account page when you are done.
Cancelling
Cancel from the billing portal. The plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for; the account page shows “Cancels on” with the date, and nothing renews after it. Nothing is deleted: your workspace stays in your browser exactly as it is, your matrices stay on the account, and items over the free limit remain in the workspace. You just cannot add more until you upgrade again or remove some, and the Pro pricing settings stop applying, with the values kept for a later upgrade.
The report pass
If you need one big valuation rather than a subscription, the full report pass is a single payment. For 30 days it lifts the 10-item limit and unlocks the full report on your account; then it simply ends, with nothing to cancel. It does not include the assistant or the pricing settings. It is offered on the report page when a workspace has more items than the free report covers, and in the limit dialog when a free workspace is full; both need you to sign in first so the pass can follow you. Reports and sharing describes the purchase.
What is stored on your account
- Your name and email address from the sign-in provider, shown on the User settings page.
- A reference to your Stripe customer record and the status of your subscription or pass; card details stay with Stripe.
- Your gem value matrices and the email notifications setting.
- A daily count of assistant messages, to apply the allowance.
The workspace is never stored on the account. Privacy and your data has the full picture, including how to have the account removed.

- The AI assistant: Describe jewelry and scrap in plain language, review what the assistant priced before adding it, and know its daily limit and what it will not do.
- Privacy and your data: What stays in your browser, what an account stores, which cookies are set and when, what the assistant sends, and how to delete any of it.
